How To Use:
To obtain the best level of pain relief, we recommend the following guidelines for TENS pad placement:
1. Note the exact site of pain. Outline the most concise and tactile areas of pain.
2. Be sure to use both pads at the same time.
3. If you change the distance sum between the electrode pads or the orientation of the electrode pads, you can change the current of electrical sensation.
4. The pads can be placed in one of three directions. 

5. The touch pads should not touch and be spaced at least 1 inch apart. As the distance between the two pads increases, the efficiency decreases.
6. It is recommended that the pad not be placed directly on a joint, such as a knee, elbow or ankle, as its movement may alter the pad's adhesion.
Here are some suggestions for placement directions:
1. When the pain extends fairly far into the body (e.g. lower back to the back of the knee): Place one pad perpendicular to the pain and the other pad perpendicular to the painful base of the pain.
2. When the pain is concentrated in a smaller area (e.g. calf pain): Place the cushions parallel to each side of the pain.
3. When the pain overlaps a joint (e.g. elbow pain): Place each pad in a horizontal parallel orientation on the muscles or soft tissues above and below the joint.
4. When the pain is widespread (e.g. between the shoulders below the neck): Place the pads vertically on the left and right sides of the spine. If the pain extends above or below the shoulders, the pads can be placed at an angle to encompass the area of discomfort.
