TWO vintage red lacquer lamps from the 1940s.  The estate family said their grandfather brought them back from Japan during/after WW2.

The cords are frayed and splitting and all electrics (cords, sockets, etc) will need to be replaced.  Because of the bad condition,the cords were cut for safety (so that no one tried to plug them in).  The cords will be included for reference in refurbishing.

The lamps are marked "Dur-Lacque, Made in Japan."  For their age, the lacquer decorated bases on the lamps are in good shape. 

These would look beautiful with dark red shades.
