The Shiva Lingam, also known simply as Lingam, is a sacred symbol in
Hinduism that represents Lord Shiva. It is typically depicted as a
cylindrical or oval-shaped stone or object that symbolizes the cosmic
pillar, a phallic symbol signifying the power of creation and the union
of the divine masculine and feminine principles.
