A wonderful antique Chinese suanpan style wooden abacus, with two upper beads for every five lower beads. Consists of thirteen (13) rods with a total of ninety-one (91) beads. Measures approx. 7.25"h x 15"l x 1"w. In antique condition, displaying wear and damages consistent with age, including general surface wear, several scattered cracks and breaks, and oxidation to the brass fittings, as well as missing two brass fittings, several metal pins/nails, and several pieces of wood (especially to one side of the frame) - see pictures. Unsure if there are repairs (possibly to rods, as they very in size?). Unmarked, exact age and origin unknown.
