This control plate is from a 1965 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass with the pot codes 295, making its vintage mid July 1965. It is in excellent condition for its age, with minor abrasions that do not detract in any way from its appearance or functionality. There are no cracks anywhere on the control plate and it has a nice aged amber patina. There is a slight bow in the center of the control which is a result of the slight curvature of the Hofner bass it had been attached to. It is still pliable, so I’m sure it will conform to its future home bass. I’ve tried to give an as accurate as possible representation of the pearloid control plate by providing images from multiple angles.
The attached high resolution images show multiple angles / sides of the control plate for a complete visual condition assessment and should be considered as part of the overall description.
