Vintage, very large, square, artisan modern wood jewelry or dresser box, hand made of black walnut and rock maple woods with completely removable lid, removable interior storage tray and 2 sets of interior dividers. Made in USA. The top, made of a large slice of black walnut, is framed in maple with black walnut joinery and beveled edges and when removed makes a nice smooth tray on its own. The bottom part of the box is constructed of walls of solid black walnut and maple joinery and bottom panel. Once the box is opened, there is a top tray with a removable matrix of dividers that split the space into 9 sections for storing cuff links, rings and other small items. There is a center walnut knob to easily lift the tray out to expose the lower compartment, which also has a removable divider matrix made of solid walnut slats that split the space into 12 sections to hold bracelets, necklaces, watches etc. This
beautifully made box measures 12 1/4" square and 3 3/8" high overall and because it is made of all wood solids, weighs a hefty 6 lbs 2oz. on its own. In excellent condition. There is an original crack in the grain of the black walnut panel on the lid which was created as a part of the design. Carefully and expertly crafted with a combination of inlay and solid
