Red Ginger is a rare flowering plant going to extinct whose rhizome's outer skin is red texture because of particular mineral based soil growing condition, free from diseases and widely used as a herb and a folk medicine. It is an unique herb for all uses and has more aroma, spicy, taste and medicinal value comparing to normal ginger and can used for cooking also. The outer skin may wash off along with the red soil if you wash hardly and able to do cook instead of peeling the skin. The colour, texture, yield of the rhizomes may vary depending upon the soil you plant 

We are selling the rhizome of the plant which is capable to grow as a plant. Each rhizome is able to provide almost 8 kgs of red ginger root if you provide adequate manure and water.

How to Plant

              Plant the rhizome directly in garden or flower pot. Minimal watering and organic manure is good. Within 3 months it will germinate and starts to grow as a plant.

Quantity: 2  Rhizomes(Pieces) for planting (20 to 30 grams approximately)

Warning: Each and every seeds/rhizomes/ stems have a hibernation/ dormancy  period which may take  several weeks, months, and some even up to year depending upon, region, weather, season, planting method etc. It is important that the buyer should understand these are perishable things and germination can be adversely affected by such factors as mold/fungus, bugs, temperature, moisture content, light intensity, care, and contamination of planting media among many other reasons. These factors are totally buyer's responsibility and risk.  Floating seeds do not always indicate that the seed is not viable. Many times it is a misconception because the seed does not have the density to sink in water.  Germination process needs patience and if everything suitable you will success.
