Hi. This is a very nice Michael Cardew piece from 1951. It is a transitional (possibly a test piece) from the time between making earthenware in Africa to stoneware in England and probably uses clay from Peters Marland in Cornwall. It is in very good condition but does have a few firing flaws, please see all the photographs. The white area on the rim is a very shallow chip but the ones at the top of the handle look to be where the glaze hasn't taken properly. The inside is a little dirty. It measures 5.25" in height.

Please take the time to view the other items in my shop as there are often similar ones to this in stock. Items that I put up for auction will never have a reserve on them. Please e-mail me if you need any further information. I will combine multiple purchases for cheaper shipment.
