A quality lens from the AI era, with relatively fast constant F/3.5 aperture, and a zoom range from normal to medium telephoto for portraiture. The lens in Nikon AI mount. For compatibility see Ken's page below:

The lens has clear and bright glass with no scratch, haze or fungus.. If you shine strong light through the lens you may see a couple small dusts - it is normal and has no effects on lens performance. It is very clean inside the lens for a lens of its age with a changing length as it zooms.

Coating is in excellent shape and looks beautiful on both ends. Mechanically excellent. The one touch zoom/focus ring feels buttery smooth to turn and push/pull with proper resistance. No zoom creep. You let go the ring and it stays where it is let go, even in completely vertical position. Aperture blades has no oil. Snappy. Filter threads are good, filter screws on/off without effort. Lens is working 100% - tested on camera.

Cosmetically it is in very good to excellent condition. The lens barrel shows some minor bright spots and slight rub marks. No ding or dent. All lettering is bright. The lens appearance looks overall clean and good. Please see photos for cosmetic conditions.

Includes a pair of generic lens caps and a Japan UV filter as shown. The filter has good glass with no mark (the filter metal ring has a few marks).
