Magazine pages from Bader Art Supply 1980 Today's Art and Graphics magazine. Magazine focused on Calligraphy for both the fine and commercial artist. Pages include a portion of the article titled Today's Perspective Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts by Phyllis Borea. The first page has an image from the Dutch Book of Hours, artist known as The master of Catherine of Cleves, shows Holy Family at supper. On the back of this page is Leaf from Book of Hours with illustrated prayer to Virgin Mary. On the connected facing page is the image from a Book of Hours, Nativity Scene. On the back of this page is an image from a large choir book by Silvestro dei Gherarducci for Santa Maria degli Angeli, music for Christmas mass. The last image is shown as ca. 1235 probably Parisian, a leaf from moralized Bible, pictures with morals. These are magazine pages removed from the original standard size magazine and have color change from age, wear to the corners and edges, holes from staple removal and general signs of use. These are not original illuminated manuscripts. There are images on both sides as described. Please ask any questions. See photos included as part of description.
