This auction is for an Antique CIGAR BOX CUTTER / BOTTLE OPENER / HAMMER from HOUSE & KUNZ CIGAR CO. in MILWAUKEE, WIS.  This item dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's.  It was used to unseal and open a cigar box.  The tool could be inserted between the box lid and the lower part of the box, cutting any paper, and prying up the nail.  If/when the nail separated from the box lid, the hammer portion of the tool could pound the nail back down into the box.  The tool can also be used to open bottles.

The first photo was taken with a flash and the rest with LED white light back lighting for close-ups.

The tool is in excellent condition, with no rusting or soiling.  It can still be used today.

A great piece of old Milwaukee advertising and old cigar store memorabilia.  It also advertises San Puro Cigars.
