Cindy Britan is an award winning sculptor based in rural Boulder County, Colorado.

Artist statement on her work: “Through my work, I invite the viewer to make connections to their own life experiences, and reflect on their own failures and triumphs. I strive to elicit emotions that lead to greater self-awareness, and an understanding of how one shapes his or her individual perceptions.

I explore this process through hand sculpting the human figure, and anthropomorphic animal figures, in clay. “

This amazing sculpture is a fairy but also reminiscent of the Queen of hearts in Alice in Wonderland. At least that’s what I think of every time I look at her.

She stands about 5” tall.

There are white specks on the back but these are not damage. Consistent hand finished pieces.
