F.P.B. - Kniha Prani A Stiznosti - 3xCD w/Book - Uz Jsme Doma 1980s Czech Punk

Before the popular, still-going experimental punk band, Uz Jsme Doma came into existence, there was F.P.B., aka Fourth Price Band. They were Teplice, Czechoslovakia's finest punk band and one that would be instrumental in creating a huge uproar throughout the then-repressive Communist country.

The band name translates in Czech as “Čtvrtá cenová skupina”, which refers to the then usual official price categories in Czechoslovak restaurants and pubs; the “4th price category” denoted the lowest standard, i.e. the lowest required service quality, comfort, and of course the lowest beer price.

For sale is a three CD compendium of all of their recordings - 63 tracks in all - housed in a 52 page book that is meant to approximate an actual "Kniha Prani A Stiznosti" or, A Book of Wishes and Complaints that was used for customers to complain about services in bars and restaurants during those times.

The music on here is ferocious three-chord punk played with intelligence, humor, hope and conviction. Like their spiritual forbearers, Plastic People of The Universe, FPB play uncompromising music that was designed to make people think! Many of the songs on here are reworked, reinterpreted cover versions of well-known songs by The Residents, Killing Joke, The Damned and Chinas Comidas, the first-wave Seattle art-punk band who were themselves a force of nature.

You will receive a sealed copy, as pictured. The open copy you see is my personal copy and was used to display the package's assets.

This set is currently out of print and there are no discussions for repressing it as the label is now defunct.
