A simply gorgeous handmade appliqué and embroidered linen tea cloth with 4 matching napkins, the best of mid-20th century expert needlework from Madeira.  The design of grapes, leaves and vines with openwork and shaped appliqué at the edges is charming and the workmanship is exceptionally fine.  

The condition is excellent. it appears to be unused.  We found threads that attached the napkins still stitched to the tablecloth.  Hand laundered and pressed.
