The color of the sheet is a light red. The Pottery Barn Kids tag states Red Chambray as color - please see photo.

Chambray is defined as a white weft and a colored warp, producing a mottled appearance.
I think the color would work for a boy or girl.

It has never been out of the package, but the end of package has an opening as seen in photo.
