Notes: Gates works great but sounds a little bit different from the hardware regarding length. Some of the presets have a little bit more pre delay than the hardware.

NOTE! I DISCOVERED THAT THIS WORKS GREAT FOR THE REVERB PRESETS, BUT FOR THE XTRAS LIKE DELAYS AND REVERS MIGHT HAVE PHASE ISSUES WITH THE DIRECT BUTTON ENGAGED. EXPERIMENT AND FIND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR SPECIFIC USE:)

Altiverb Direct sound button

Here?s one thing of great importance The first part of the IR is as important as the rest of the IR, as this is the sound of the machine. In Altiverb the direct sound is OFF by default. When you use real concert halls for reverb this makes a lot of sense. However when you use samples of reverb gear you need to turn ON the direct sound, else the first part (that has the most volume and makes the IR sound fresh) will not be heard.Expand the slide below the pre-delay and attack button in Altiverb by hitting the triangle button and turn ON the direct sound (SEE PHOTO).
