Absolutely stunning hand beaded shoulder cape/capelet.  This is a rare find and such a treasure!

Victorian era - Approximately the 1890s-early 1900s.

Has hook and eye closures, so it can be worn open or closed.

I had a hard time capturing the actual color in the photos, but it is a dark burgundy color.  It does not have the orange or pinkish tones like it appears in some of the pictures.

Measures approximately 20" in length, measuring from the shoulder, near the collar.  Shoulder to shoulder it is about 15."

Overall I would consider it to be in beautiful condition for such a delicate item of this age, but it does have some imperfections.  It has some loose and/or missing beads and some loose threads.  I've left all the loose threads in case they would be helpful with any needed repairs.  There are also some areas where the hem is out/missing stitches.
