Pictorial Souvenir China or View China was made in Germany from 1890 to before WWI. They

were purchased by merchants who sold them in their shops to people who were

enjoying more leisure time. With more leisure time people were able to take trains

to various locations and bring back these pieces as a memento of their excursion.
