This is a 1951 MONTGOMERY WARD’S FISHING AND HUNTING CATALOG, WITH 115 numbered pages, and many illustrations and photos. There are several full color photos of fishing lures, wet flies, and crank baits. There are also sections in the catalog on fishing rods, fishing reels of all types, including salt water, fresh water, and fly casting, and several sections on general camping equipment and small boats and canoes.
The camping equipment shows stoves , sleeping bags, tents, and general rigging. All of these sections have individual item descriptions, features, and selling price in 1951.
When I purchased this at an estate sale in Chicago about 25 years ago, the previous owner had saved about 6 double-sided color photo pages of lures, whet flies , and crank baits from some of the 1940’s Ward’s catalogs, and some other illustrated pages from a few other companies dealing with flies. He had saved them inside this catalog, and I am including those in this as part of my listing. These add-on pages are shown in the last 2 photos provided.
