This Hoya Variable Density II 62mm Variable Density filter is in original, near new condition. It’s just a little under 12 months old and there’s nary a mark, crack or scratch on the filter or the mount. In fact, it is in pristine, unmarked condition.

 

 

You know what they say: “stuff happens”.

 

 

I purchased all my new kit in March, April and May of last year (2022) when COVID restrictions ended and we booked to travel to Europe in July and August. The last item I purchased was bought on 12^th May. On 19^th May, the very next week, I was lying on the dining room floor of my home with a pulse of 30, having sustained a double heart block. Three ambulances came to the door and within an hour, I was in the local hospital with a “chemical pacemaker” feeding into my hands. The next day I was wheeled into surgery for a permanent pacemaker. The double heart bloc made an instant change to my life; I can tell you. Bye, bye carrying my gear around.

 

 

I managed to knock out a few photos from the two new bodies and lenses I purchased (currently listed for sale on eBay). Other than that, my gear has been lying dormant in their boxes. I would have taken only about a total of 1,100 shots with all my lenses combined.
