Sporting a magnification and objective lens size favored by hunters, birders, and avid outdoor enthusiasts around the world, the Meade 10x42 RidgeWay Binocular performs even when observing in challenging light conditions. Outfitted with BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully coated lens surfaces, the binocular delivers bright and sharp high-contrast images with true-to-life color and crisp clarity. The 42mm objectives gather generous amounts of light to further boost performance in less-than-ideal conditions without the bulk and weight of larger objectives.
Designed to withstand the rigors of the trail, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature variations. The chassis is made of a combination of aluminum and plastic and wrapped in a protective rubber armor that provides a slip-resistant grip in the rain. To further cut weight while providing users with more area to grip, Meade employs an open-bridge configuration with a dual hinge. Protecting the objectives and eyepieces are tethered caps that come off fast for easy reaction to glassing opportunities without the possibility of losing them.
