Style of Peter Newsome

Artist: Unknown

Inscribed on the bottom base is either the #3 or the letter M-no other markings to be found.

The clear is glass and I believe the blue is too but it also resembles lucite/acrylic. I’m really not certain. Please use your own judgement as I am unsure of material type.

Sculpture is mounted to beautiful bronze or brass metal base.

Measures: 9”H x 10”L

Dates: exact age is unknown-probably around 1960’s-1980’s

Condition: I am uncertain if the top was damaged.I purchased it this way. My first reaction was that it broke and was repaired. The surface is smooth. This actually might be how the artist intended on it looking and part of the process. Again, the top surface is smooth.

There are hairline surface scratches, chips, scuffs and wear along side. These mostly appear on the blue. Chips, possible damage, possible repair, dings, scuffs, scratches white spots and wear.

The bass has nice Patina and it also has wear from age. The base has old felt strips as shown. In my opinion the most obvious wear are the hairline scratches and the top. Again, I have no idea if there was previous damage or repair. I think it still looks amazing. Beautiful in the light.

I will be selling this as “damage and or previous repairs”.

And it is sold as-is.

I purchased it because it’s a beautiful work of art but unfortunately, I just don’t know much about it.

If you do.. please write! :)
