An Art Deco style wall fixture with a slip on clear and frosted stylized decorative slip over glass shade. The wall sconce appears to have been removed from a bathroom wall. A great original piece of early Deco period accent lighting.
The salvaged light was disassembled, cleaned, polished, rewired, clear coated and tested. The front slip on glass cover shade is excellent with no noted damage or repairs. The original standard bulb size socket and on / off rotary switch was restored and works correctly.
However the chrome plating on the steel wall plate / base has started to show signs of the plating raising and flaking. The chrome surfaces were cleaned and polished. All the metal surfaces were clear coated to prevent further losses. The fixture could be painted or re-plated if desired. The photos included show the surface.
The light measures 6 1/2 in. tall x 5 in. wide. It extends out from the wall 5 inches. The glass shade is held in place by a single finger screw.
