This is a vintage jeweler’s hammer with rounded flat-head face, and relatively short slender hardwood handle. Head is solidly attached to wooden handle by a metal “chisel” piece driven from the top. The word MARSHALL is deeply embossed into one side of metal head.

When metal head is layer onto a small scale with handle supported horizontally, in flat -side position, weight is estimated to be 1.6oz.

The metal head measures approximately 2 5/8” x 7/16” at widest point, and hardwood handle is 7 3/8”.
There were no other discernible marks on handle or head. No repairs noted anywhere.

Age is unknown. This hammer was part of an estate purchase from a watchmaker’s estate being sold in Chicago suburbs, about 25 years ago.
