Jackie Stewart, 1971 British Grand Prix Winner.

Jackie Stewart won the 1971 Woolmark British Grand Prix at Silverstone, setting a new lap record on the way to a dominant victory. Taking the lead on lap four Jackie and his Elf Team Tyrrell-Cosworth 003 were the class of the field, lapping all but second and third finishers.
The World Championship title race was a similar story with Stewart winning six of eleven races to take his second driver’s world title and delivering the constructor’s title for Elf Team Tyrrell in their first year of competition.
The Stewart and Tyrrell combination was so efficient in 1971 that the same car was used for all except the first race of the season.

The illustration of this famous car is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research.
