Five Clark's Thread Co. books of beautiful patterns to crochet and knit designed for fashionable wearable items for babies and adult women from the early 1930's to 1951. There are patterns for toys, doll clothes. blankets, curtains as well as many other decorative items. Also included are crocheted flowers and bows to be attached to clothing with small pins or used in the hair. Two of the 5 books have previous owner's name written on front cover. One is without it's front and back cover and has been hole punched.  The toy pattern book has been folded and is beginning to tear along the fold. The patterns are intact but obviously were copied using carbon paper because the printed directions for cutting and placement have been handwritten over printed directions. Definitely before modern copiers!  The Gift Shopping book has some distressed pages but most of the patterns are still legible.  All of these are exceptional patterns and offer a glimpse into an era when handmade was normal and not the exception!  Please look at all photos carefully and realize these are paper and are very old - pushing 100 years!  Space does not allow showing all patterns - many more included.
