“Susan’s Baptism” (1940s) 8mm Film Home Movie, + M Schmitz’s Garden & Minn 1948

Three 1940s reels with family events that called for great hats. The baptism reel is mostly family holding the baby, not the actual baptism.

There is a fun little bit with a little dog that is shown in the video.

There is an ice skating show but the footage is quite dark with only skaters in the spotlight visible. I imagine M. Schmitz’s garden was something to behold in real life, but the film is washed out and clearly doesn’t do the garden justice.

Overall, there are some fun clips on the films.
