Toddler Girl Swing Dress Children Corner Madeline Handmade Sewing Size 1 NEW

Children’s Corner Dress is constructed using pattern “MADELINE”.

Offered here is a Size 1 unique (one of a kind) upscale swing dress for a little girl. A swing dress is a dress with an almost full circle skirt. The only real fit is around the neck and arms as the skirt is attached to a yoke and swings free from there. It has a ruffled collar and buttons down the front. The bottom of the skirt - all 86 inches of it - has a ruffle around the bottom.  Length from collar to hem is 14 inches. Matching panties are included.

Since I no longer have small ones around, the pictures are made with the dress on a Patti Playpal doll. Patti is 35 inches tall (to give you an idea for length). This is a fun dress - made for twirling.

Offered in this listing is a multicolored green/aqua fabric print. The ruffle trim around the collar and the hem is a muted aqua.  It buttons up the front with five aqua 1/2” buttons and is approximately 86 inches around the bottom of the hem.  There are matching panties (makes the twirling even cuter).

This upscale swing dress is a size 1. The fabric is a good quality 100% cotton and is fully washable.  My daughter said when washing she took reasonable care, i.e., washed with similar colors, cold water, and low heat drying.  Because the quality of the fabric is good, there was no fading or excessive wrinkling.  She said only occasionally was any touch up ironing needed, and that usually because she forgot to take it out of the dryer.

The included picture of a real child with the red/green chili peppers is not the dress I have for sale.  That is a picture of my granddaughter made years ago and wearing one of these dress creations.   Since I no longer have anyone this size to model for me, the intent is to show how truly captivating these little dresses are.  My granddaughters loved them because, like most little girls, they loved to twirl.  No dress is better for twirling than these swing dresses.  Over the years I made several swing dresses for each of my girls. They were their favorite dresses.  They are now put away in a cedar chest awaiting the next generation.
