A note about all the childrenās hankies Im listing today: Everytime I buy a hanky collection, thereās always 1-2 kidās hankies. I toss them in a box and when the box is full, I list them all in what I thought would be an annual event (similar to the event I have during the holidays when I list all the designer hankies Ive amassed that year)- well, it took about 3-4 years to fill the box!
They are all to be considered āHankies from the Wildāā straight from Estate to auction- as found, literally, except I did press them so you can see the designs.
There are some really neat designs in this bunchāand thereās a lot of them! Most date from 1930s-40ās with a few older and younger. They also run between 6ā-8ā square. Ive shown the ruler to give measurement. Mostly linen & cotton. Some with hand finished edges.
Condition:
As Found. Some with pinholes, moth holes, dingy centers from being loved so much, spots etc. Im going to let the pictures tell the story- so look at them carefully. Ive assigned a reasonable starting price to reflect this.

For Lots, If you see an additional hanky in a lot, that means that one has a pinhole. You may find spots, but hopefully no holes! Get the hot water ready.
In these lots you may find hand embroidery, Swiss & Madeira embroidery, hand rolled edges, machine or special laces!

One of several batches Im listing today. The majority of my items are from various second hand sources.Ā Please keep in mind that vintage items date back many years and should not be expected to be in pristine condition unless so noted. Some have been stored in sheds, attics, barns or garage rafters.Ā Ā I don't always know if previous owner smoked or had pets.
I do my best to combat these issues however I live in the Deep South- in the country.

I take great pride in what I offer...even then Olde Gals in age tanned, damaged or musty condition. They, like me, sometimes come with a few spots & wrinkles....but are So Cool...like my quirky favorite great Aunt Ruth was.
