ANTIQUE WILLIAM B FENN 3-PIECE WATER BOTTLE/ CARAFE1897~ RAREST PINK COLOR ~ MINT VINTAGE CONDITION.

William B Fenn was frustrated that he couldn't easily clean the carafes/decanters of the day, which had narrow necks and bulbous bases. So he decided to do something about it. In 1897 he designed this 3-PIECE WATER BOTTLE/DECANTER for the PERFECTION BOTTLE COMPANY, and called it the Imperial #251. The patent was granted in 1897, and it was only produced in the very early years of the 1900s. In Perfection Company closed in 1907.

This is the MUCH RARER PINK GLASS VERSION

Embossed on base of neck:"Place the rubber here" & "Perfection Glass Co Wilkes Barre Pa Patd March 30 97"

It's in excellent vintage condition. There are NO chips, cracks or flea bites, but there are a few bubbles in the glass, which only add to its beauty and won't weaken the glass. I added a new clear rubber gasket for an air-tight seal.
