The irradiation with UV light kills especially fungi, bacteria and almost all germs. The bad smell from your shoes disappears all by itself, because the UV treatment kills the small bacteria and fungi that are responsible for the odor. You can clearly smell the difference yourself. Disinfect textiles and shoes

Almost all skin and nail fungi - whether dermatophytes, yeasts or molds - love it moist, warm and stuffy. Air-impermeable synthetic fibers in many sports and ice-skating shoes, rubber boots, plastic sandals or nylon socks create warm and humid climatic zones in which fungi feel particularly comfortable and like to multiply. In addition, everything that contains a lot of synthetics and little nature makes the skin sweat. The result: the skin becomes soft and swells; the pathogens now adhere particularly well and can penetrate the tissue more easily.

It is therefore particularly important to disinfect the textiles and shoes that come into contact with the skin areas!

Disinfection with UV light is a scientifically recognized and reliable method. In addition to surfaces, drinking water in particular is disinfected with UV light in the wavelength range of 254 nanometers. This particularly short-wave light is deadly for bacteria such as salmonellae, coli bacilli, but also yeast and fungi. The UV dose used in Steriy Dry is low, but due to the long irradiation intensity of several hours and a very small distance to the UV light, this is completely sufficient to get shoes germ-free. If you compare this with the irradiation time of yogurt pots, you can see that your shoes become absolutely germ-free with Steri Dry.
