Vintage, unique, Turkmen bridal hair tassel. About 15" long. There are red accents on the triangular portion - the smaller ones are made of plastic, the center is glass. The plastic pieces are scuffed with age and use. Large hook with a blue glass cabochon. The hook is used to fasten to the bride's braids/plaits. The metal is a gray/silver/tan color and most likely made of an alloy. There are a series of flower connectors, and traditional dangles that make up the tassel fringe. Makes a sound with movement - the sound is used not only to announce the presence of the wearer but also used to ward off the evil eye. There is verdigris evident, surface wear, and other signs of age apparent. This weighs about 8 ounces.

Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
