A pair of long and unique vintage Turkmen bridal hair tassels. Each tassel has hanging sections made of tassel tops, a variety of dangles, and flower connectors called, "chaprose". The tassels make a lot of sound with movement - sound is often a means to ward off the evil eye. Traditionally these hang from the hair/braid/plait by a hook but there is no hook on this pair - visible in photos. There is a bail on the back of each. These are 12.5" long. These tassels show signs of wear including some verdigris, patination, worn metal, and an aged appearance. These weigh about 9 ounces together. Each one has a stylized bird accent at the top. A bird is often a symbol of good luck.

Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
