Pair of vintage, unique Turkmen bridal hair tassels. About 15" long. There are red and blue accents on the triangular portion - the smaller ones are made of plastic, the center is glass. The plastic pieces are scuffed with age and use. Each one has the original hook that is used to fasten to the bride's hair/braids/plaits. The metal is a gray/silver/tan color and most likely made of an alloy. There are a series of connectors, tassels tops, and traditional dangles that make up the tassel fringe. Some of the dangles are misshapen - visible in photos. Makes a sound with movement - the sound is used not only to announce the presence of the wearer but also used to ward off the evil eye. These weigh about 10 ounces together.

Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
