The Live Custom Hybrid Oak features the "Hybrid Shell Construction," inherited from the flagship model "PHX" and the highly acclaimed "Absolute Hybrid Maple." It adopts a high-density "phenolic sheet" as the core material in the center of the shell, sandwiched between oak wood on both sides.

The snare drum is 7-ply/7.3mm thick, with a bearing edge of 45°/R1.5. By combining the thick oak shell with the Hybrid Shell Construction, it enhances the sharp attack and power in the low-frequency range unique to oak wood.
