“Japan Air Base” (1956) 8mm Film Home Movie, Panos, Drive, Train, Parade, Town +

Another great historical film of a Japan Air Base, Tachikawa Air Base, and surrounding areas. Film opens with film taken from a car of the Japanese countryside. Great pan shot of rural areas and a lot of the air base and a train trip through the country. There’s a parade on the base, but I’m not quite sure what that’s about, but apparently there are some champions, and an FEAF tournament going on. Film ends with some small town street activities, a hotel and aerial shots from the airplane. Really interesting documentary of the 1956 air base and surrounding areas.
