Pal Fried (1893 - 1976): A Hungarian born artist who studied under Claude Monet and Lucien Simone in Paris, with influences from Degas and Renoir. He went on to become a recognized master himself often painting intricate portraits of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, the Gabor sisters, Will Rogers and politicians. He was also well known for his depictions of Paris culture like ballerinas, nudes and horse racing.
