1808 Original antique Charles Smith "America" map from Smith's General Atlas published from London. Excellent condition copper plating map. One small foxing spot. Full margins. North America post Louisiana purchase and South America. Hand coloring and measured scaling.  Prior under glass with matting.  Excellent historical example of early American mapping and work from Smith on heavy paper.  I have no doubt on authenticity originality of this map based on extensive research.  Lower portion printed, "London, Published C. Smith, Mapseller No 172 Strand, Jan 6th 1808."   Size 15" x 12.5"
