Master potter Leonel Lopez Saenz , uses his trademark animal scenes (some call story-olla) that make an exceptional addition to any fine art collection. It was previously owned, well cared for, and only displayed (using the pottery ring you see in the photos, which is included ). Leonel Lopez Saenz pottery pots are rounded on the bottom and need a ring to display. An outstanding Sgrafitto (etched) work with minute detail.

Leonel Lopez is considered one of the great masters of Mata Ortiz pottery particularly for his beautiful sgraffito, etched ollas.

Black/Charcoal colored on light cream background. The beautiful scene features dessert like animals (bats, owls, coyotes, rodents etc) with cactus & reeds.
