In 1965, Disney held a press conference in Orlando, Florida to announce that they would develop Walt Disney World south of Orlando. Prior to the resort's opening in 1971, a Preview Center allowed visitors to see what was planned and under construction. An original 8 x 10 photograph showing the model of Walt Disney World in the Preview Center (c. 1970) is being offered along with the actual caption sheet that was taped to the back of the photo. The seller has carefully held onto his collection of official Walt Disney World publicity photos for over fifty years but is now offering them for sale.
