Up for sale is a gorgeous, very unusual sterling silver figural Liverpool, England souvenir spoon c.1907. The handle features a very high relief Liver Bird which is a mythical bird and a symbol of Liverpool, along with the Latin phrase “Deus Nobis Haec Otia Fecit” which translates to a god has given us these idleness. The spoon is in excellent estate condition and measures 4 7/8”. The bowl of the spoon is clearly fully hallmarked from English sterling silver. There is a maker’s mark of “TL EM”, the lion passant mark for sterling silver, the Chester city mark and a date mark of 1907. Thank you for looking!!
