Well constructed soft and silky wig for a doll with an 8 - 10 inch hairline circumference, possibly just what you’re looking for your antique or reproduction French or German… Victorian or Edwardian boy or toddler, a modern BJD, or other favorite doll in need of a new wig.

This wig has a small approximately 2” diameter “pancake” flat round pate-type cap in which the hair is attached. When placed on a doll’s head it sits above the doll’s hairline.

This vintage Dollspart wig is shown on a doll with an approximate 8” circumference head, although the tag says: “DIA OF CAP 9.10” which I imagine means 9-10” circumference (not diameter ) although I am not positive about this so be sure to take a close up look and make note of the measurements in my photos to make sure this is what you are looking for. It appears to me to be an excellent quality wig.

This wig is modeled on a reproduction German Heubach head made by my mother in the 1970s… this doll head is not included in this sale but if interested, just let me know and I will consider listing it soon. This listing includes just the wig described in this listing… no doll… no hat - just this very versatile doll wig!

This vintage wig, in excellent new and unused condition, is from a collection of old store stock owned by a pair of very serious collectors, doll shop owners, doll making enthusiasts! This wig which I believe is circa 1980s was put away in clean storage decades ago. It has been checked over carefully and no unfortunate issues were found. It is sold as is, as described through the text and photos provided in this listing. I think you’ll agree it’s beautiful!

Your vintage “new to you” wig will be wrapped securely and shipped quickly.

Note: This sale is for one wig only. No dolls or other props or measurement tools are included in this sale. The instructional flyer photo shows how to measure your doll for a doll wig, which is not a perfect science even for doll experts, but gives you an idea if you aren’t sure. The doll and wig shown in the instructional flyer is not included in this sale. However, you are free to copy, use and distribute the instructional flyer if you want.
