This is a vintage Japanese porcelain ceramic tokuri used to pour sake. It is hand painted with a floral design and has a simple elegant style with  fluted mouth to easily pour small cups of sake.   It has a very unusual thermos glass interior to help hold the heat of the liquid sake (see pictures 5 - 9).

It has the signature of the Japanese company on the bottom (see pictures 10 & 11).

This vase measures  5 1/2" tall by 2 1/2" diameter across at the bottom (12.5 x 6.5 cm).  Having been in storage for over 50 years, with the exception of a small rim nick (see picture 9), it remains in  good condition.  Holds water (or hot sake) just fine and keeps it warm for over 1/2 hour.
