Vintage, Art Deco, hand made, tin Jelly or Cake Mold with a stylized star shape. This depression era mold measures 3 1/08" high, 3 " in diameter across the top and 6 1/4" diameter on the bottom. Such rustic molds were created by local hobbyists and craftsman who fashioned them using folded and bent sheet metal for general kitchen use at a time when copper and casting made items too expensive. This mold does not have any dents, breaks or major damage. The silver finish has been largely worn away and age has given the remaining surfaces a dark grey matte finish.
