Excellent Antique 1879 Asprey oxblood leather travel vanity bag with some original contents and sterling silver Charles Asprey hallmarked lids.

Hallmarked as CA over CA (Charles Asprey & Charles Asprey Junior) they only traded as this name from 1872-1879, Queens Head, Lion, D = 1879, Leopard = London.

Bag condition is good, both slide locks work (no key) centre lock works. Leather has no holes or tears on the outside, some wear at the hinge points inside. Pocketknife and Pocketfork (both retract) Asprey logo marked on bag, still make out what it says, logo on writing pad is excellent. 

The external leather flap has 2 metal clips, they no longer fasten securely as the elastic has lost its spring and doesn't pull the 2 small flaps upwards.
