Notice the damage .  Pages are not stuck together.
Norfolk and Western Magazine is published monthly at Roanoke VA. Vol37 #7. About the cover, THE YOUNG FISHERMAN on the front cover of this issue is Charles Reid, seven-year-old son of Radford Division Engineer Thomas M. Reid and Mrs. Reid, of Roanoke. About the only things Charles would rather do than fish are cat and wave to railroad locomotive engineers. The man in the cab returning the boy's greeting is Shenandoah Division Engineer H. E. Crum* who is pulling time freight Train No. 53, Roanoke to Winston-Salem. The picture was taken a short distance south of Starkey along Back Creek. Charles' dog, "Hot Shot", is waiting patiently for something to happen in the waterit doesn't particularly matter as long as he is with his young friend. For another picture of Charles and his sister, Callie, turn to Page 355-
