Before there were action figures, there were Fisher Price Adventure People. In fact a few unlucky Adventure People were carved up to make the prototype Star Wars action figures (no joke). The Adventure People came in the last days before every toy had to have a licensing tie in. They are just everyday people. Well, some might be skydivers or mountain climbers, but they are down to earth. In fact one of the Adventure People figures is a 60 something, balding man with a pot belly and a mussed up tie (TV news producer, no doubt inspired by Lou Grant on the Mary Tyler More Show).

Sadly my kayak sank, but the buoys survived.
