                      GORGEOUS DESIGNS BY MARK HEINE, VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA

The "CARS OF YESTERYEAR" was a series of 4 stamps issued by the Luxembourg Postal Service each year from 2014 to 2017. All stamps were beautifully-designed by Mark Heine, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  The designs have a white background:

70c - 1931 PACKARD STANDARD EIGHT 833 (U.S.A.) with aluminium-head online 8-cylinder engine on rubber mounts, delivering 90bhp

95c - 1934 ROLLS-ROYCE 20/25 (ENGLAND) with 3.7 liter engine and 4-speed manual transmission, with synchromesh in 3rd and 4th gear. It was produced for the luxury owner-driven market. It had a leaf-spring suspension, worm-and-nut steering, a 12-volt battery, and a 14-gallon fuel tank.

1.30 - 1936 PANHARD & LEVASSOR (FRANCE) "Panoramique" X71, with slightly convex side windows providing all-round visibility. It had a 2,516cc (14CV) front engine with rear-wheel drive, and was offered in a 2-door coupé or cabriolet model.

1.40 - 1940 BUICK 56C SUPER 8 COUPÉ Convertible (U.S.A.). The car was developed in California, and boasted the following innovations: a 4.1liter (248 cubic inch) Fireball 18 engine developing 107 horsepower; a 3-speed sliding-shift manual transmission; sealed-beam headlights; and flash light turn signals, all revolutionary ideas in pre-World War Two America.
