Logic gates are the basic building blocks of all digital devices & computers; they are what CPUs use to make decisions & store memory. Understanding them is an essential first step to knowing the binary system that makes all computers possible.

These kits are for beginners new to electronics & computing; you don't need to know a lot about electronics to get started.

Learning Kit #3 - XOR

This bundle is all three kits from the Logic Gate Series. It contains Logic Gates Learning Kit #1 - Switches, Logic Gates Learning Kit #2 - Transistors, and Logic Gates Learning Kit #3 - XOR.

In the first kit, we learn the basic theory of Logic Gates with simple push-button switches and how to make logical decisions in binary. And then in the second kit, we progress on to learning how transistors work as switches and building the same circuits from the first kit using transistors. And then finally in the third kit, we learn about using Transistors in pre-built packages called Integrated Circuits or ICs. With ICs, we combine all three of the simple Logic Gates into an XOR Gate, which is at the core of how computers store & compute data.

A digital manual is provided, containing assembly instructions & education about how the circuits work.

Also comes with holographic vinyl sticker & micro-USB cable.

NOTE: This kit comes as either 'Assembly Required' or 'Pre-Assembled', so make sure you choose which option you need. But don't be scared off by the 'Assembly Required' version. This circuit board will be a great project to practice your soldering skills on; the through-hole components are easy to work with and the USB power connector is pre-soldered.
