Jacques Coquillay (1935-): He is known for his sculptures and pastels. He was a student at Beaux-Arts and at the School of Fine Arts in Paris under Marcel Gimond. His pastels are present in many collections in France and abroad. Jacques Coquillay was appointed official painter of the Navy in March 1995. Coquillay won the French Artists' Gold Medal for sculpture in 1972 and Painter's Jury honors Gold Medal for painting in 1980. In 1992, a retrospective of his works were exhibited at the Salon d'Automne.
